A one owner 1979 Gibson Dove Acoustic in the rare black finish purchased new at Benders Music Store in Clinton, Iowa. This guitar has normal light play wear, and one crack that runs near the pickguard and neck. The guitar plays resonable well and is strung up with 12-54 strings, the action is sitting at 9/64th on the bass and 3/32nd on the treble side. The guitar could be made to play better, but the neck has more relief on the bass side then the treble and the saddle is getting low. The neck also has a slight twist to it. Major work like a neck reset, fret board leveling, refret would need to be done to get this to play like a new Taylor guitar and not the 70's Gibson it is and that is why it is listed for less then other Dove Customs out on the market. Having said that, it sounds great and is a very nice guitar, light strings would help the playablity if that is wanted or needed. Comes with original hard case.
